Interview Formats & Portraits — Remembrance in Conversation
Preserving voices.
Passing on stories.
Testimony interviews and portraits — so that remembrance becomes the next generation's task. I conduct interviews, portray people and produce interview series for museums, memorial sites, schools and educational institutions: for over ten years a commissioned partner of Jewish institutions and places of remembrance in North Rhine-Westphalia.
I usually reply personally within two working days. On request, I prepare calculations that fit funding applications.
Projects that speak for themselves
A selection from more than twenty documentary and interview projects since 2021. German-language project pages show context, funders, credits and press coverage with sources.

- „#jüdisch" — Jewish Museum Westphalia, Dorsten — five portraits, co-directed with the LWL Mediacentre for Westphalia; cinema premiere 2022; a 44-minute conversation format permanently installed at the museum
- State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia — four films (2022–2026), including the documentary on 60 years of NRW–Israel relations (premiered 2025)
- Maccabi Germany — media coverage of the 2023 Winter Games in Ruhpolding, the first Jewish winter games in Germany since 1936; portrait series since 2016

What the work stands on
Access is the service
People who would never sit in front of any other camera tell their stories here — because the conversations are led by someone who has worked in these rooms for years and is invited, not ordered.
Careful in the room, precise on camera
Pre-meetings on request, a calm set, time. Only then the interview — at broadcast quality, at a pace that follows the person, not the schedule.
Delivered like an archive
Documented material: persons, rights notes, subtitles, durable file naming, documented handover. Your film will still be quotable in twenty years.
LIVE with an audience — intercultural and interreligious
Conversation formats work best in the room. We organise live events with an audience — readings, film screenings with conversation, encounter formats of intercultural and interreligious dialogue — together with many partner organisations, backed by solid, effective media production: concept, programme, technology, recording.
Example: a reading by Margaryta Paliy from her Purim book — a self-organised event with an audience, fully accompanied by media production.
Excerpt from the reading — recording: Ilja Kagan, Draw-A-Change. Provisional still.
